ABOUT THE OAK STREET FREE LIBRARY

We are in the process of opening a little free lending library inside the community center. Any registered guest of Oak Street Community Center will be able to check out one book at a time for up to two weeks.

ABOUT THE BOOKMOBILE

Starting September 15, 2025, Oak Street Community Center will become a community stop of the Horseshoe Bend Regional Library Bookmobile on the third Monday of each month. Residents of Coosa, Elmore, Lee, and Tallapoosa counties are eligible to use the Bookmobile.

2025 BOOKMOBILE SCHEDULE
September 15, 8:00 am to 9:00 am
October 20, 8:00 am to 9:00 am
November 16, 8:00 am to 9:00 am
​December 15, 8:00 am to 9:00 am

Oak Street Community Center is a community-based mutual aid program of ​First Universalist Church ​and the Alabama Center for Rural Organizing and Systemic Solutions​. Donations made to First Universalist marked for the Oak Street Community Center go exclusively to Community Center operating costs.
